The Adventure Begins.... But Ends Too Quickly...
7.2.08
During the holidays i went back to my
homeland,
Philippines. It wasn't so much of a really cool summer, but it
didn't go
down
the drain either.

So first day of my stay, I decided to go for a jog. It was breezy during the morning and I thought that this could help me out with the upcoming NAFA test. I was informed earlier that my cousin had a dog, so I thought that maybe it could help. Imagine my luck when I saw a drooling, yapping 2 foot tall poodle. I was like, "you expect me to run with a poodle. I'd probably run faster than this.". Then they were like, "Don't judge a book by it's cover." Gosh, they were RIGHT! The dog was freaking fast. Of course i could catch-up, but i was scared i might trip over its leash or something and kill the poor thing. So anyway, I ran around the whole neighbourhood, practically killing myself then went over to my (another) cousin's house and stayed there to just go swinging. Then grandmere came and announced that we're going to be swimming!! So we did went swimming and just lasted there for HOURS!!! Like, we went there about 11.00 then went home about 18.00. Good thing I wasn't burnt into a crisp. lol

Next day, me and my mom went over to the salon near SM-Southmall to get my hair rebonded. Man, did I look great. For once I actually looked like a girl!! lol. But you really got to suffer for beauty. My butt sat on that freaking wooden chair for like, 8 hours!!! It was torture, but it was worth it. Well, at least for the first 5 days.

About 2 weeks after the murderous sit, grandmere invited us to go to Baguio (the coldest area in the Philippines) with a bunch of old people (and the people who accompanied the old ones). It was kinda like an outing for the ushers in the church. So me and my cousin, let's call her Derdz, thought it was a really cool plan since were both on a holiday and we really wanted to go to Baguio even before. The trip was a total NIGHTMARE. We rode in an air-conditioned jeepney. You know, a jeepney!! The things the Americans used to use during the war which transformed during time and eventually became an everyday Philippine transportation vehicle.

Yeah, pretty much like this. At first we were so excited we could barely keep still then... *dun-dun-dunuuun* We were standing outside, taking crazy pictures of ourselves, when we suddenly took a look inside the jeep where we were supposed to sit. There were cockroaches seeping into our food supply!!! We screamed so loud I thought I heard a window shatter. After Derdz throwing the food away, and well me throwing up, we sat on our place and prepared for our adventure. The trip took 8 hours and was painfully uncomfortable. Derds took the seat by the window (she was prone to throw up if she didn't) and I sat by the aisle. The seat was only like, a row and wasn't individual so during the whole trip half my butt was on the seat and the other half was falling off. I could barely sleep while Derds was loudy snoring on my ear. There also wasn't a head-rest and we ate all the food we had before the trip even started so... life sucks for me. When we finally got there, I was sleepy, straving, and disoriented. I was kinda expecting a hotel, with people carrying my stuff for me, then a room with every furniture plated gold and the floor covered witha carpet of 400- thread count.

.... can't finish. LOL
